first attempt; i straight away install keyboard silk driver. it didn't change thing. the driver stays microsoft's.
second attempt; i tried to uninstall microsoft driver from device manager. install the silver silk driver. keyboard doesn't appear in the device manager. i rebooted the machine, the keyboard is automatically installed 9plug and play9 with microsoft driver.
third attempt; i tried to uninstall silver silk driver from add/remove program, installed the black silk driver with both methods above, no improvement.
somehow the driver installation didn't complete or something. even though lenovo page mentioned that it supports win10, but in the readme file it doesn't show win10 in the list. is there any way to extract inf file of the driver so i can install manually/
the keyboard did work fine until last week when there was some update/patches from microsoft. unfortunately, i don't have restore point to rollback to.
